World Models Aim to Extend AI Beyond Text

Nathan Benaich posted a video of Jonathan Sadeghi of OdysseyML speaking at the RAAIS event. Benaich wrote that world models trained to predict images and videos will unlock understanding of the physical world beyond text. The RAAIS account posted a similar summary stating that world models unlock understanding of the physical world, move beyond text-based LLMs, and are expected to drive breakthroughs in robotics, gaming, and unforeseen applications.
