@trq212 It likely combines well with image models getting better. You can put in the old game assets and generate new higher-res scaled up versions in seconds
@trq212 Nope its likely stolen from Project Chronoshift’s source code which was made long before AI, when riot shut it down the demanded the source code from the developer.

@trq212 No. Its because there’s money to be made in classic game modes. The large gaming companies are not usuing AI.
@trq212 I don't think this requires that. Lots of games have been getting classic modes since before the AI boom.

@trq212 As others have said, Blizz grooved it with their WoW classic releases - but I've heard similar things when this came out
@trq212 This worked for WoW (probably less because AI obviously bit probable theory!) For me personally, the game was in a constant state of detachment post this “classic mode”. I’m sure I’m not alone but I eventually set it down and never looked back! Big if true tho (maybe RIP me).

@trq212 Maybe, but WoW Classic came out a long time before coding agents were ubiquitous
