Elon Musk outlines two planned AI clusters with about 420,000 GB300s

Elon Musk outlined plans for two AI compute clusters, Gun Range and Spam, in an Oct. 31 post. Together, they would contain about 420,000 GB300s based on his projected figures, not a count of installed hardware.

Musk wrote that Gun Range would match Macroharder and Minihard, which he described as each having 220,000 GB300s with 800-gig network interfaces configured for training. Spam, he wrote, would have about 200,000 GB300s configured for inference, with simpler networking and less than half the fiber.

Musk credited the SpaceX team and contractors with progress. He projected Gun Range would be operational by the end of November 2026 and Spam in December. Those were targets in his Oct. 31 post, not announcements that either cluster had begun operating.
