This is awesome!

It’s great to see 8090’s Software Factory being used to unbundle incumbent ISVs!

$5B deprecated, $5T to go…

Thanks for sharing @jonathankopnick.

@meet_tie engineering teams have replaced nearly $5B worth of market cap vendors in one shot with internal systems built using @8090_Factory

It’s an unbelievable platform and a real looking glass into the future of agent-driven engineering. @TheOneAndArjun @chamath

@chamath Eventually data, IP, regulatory capture, and orchestration are the only moats. Your platform has helped us to focus on only those things that matter.

Jonathan was one of the first to run Software Factory in production.

Now the engineering teams at @meet_tie have replaced vendors worth nearly $5B in combined market cap with systems they built internally.

Renting software made sense when building it took 18 months. That math is over.

@chamath @jonathankopnick Good lord. Insane. I'm working on this just on marketing. So everyone can market perfectly, could lift gdp by $800B

@8090_Factory @meet_tie Are these primarily feature/application vendors, or have you also replaced core operating infrastructure vendors? Trying to understand whether this is mostly OpEx SaaS replacement vs CapEx/internal build?

@8090_Factory @meet_tie "replaced vendors worth nearly $5B in combined market cap". That has to be the most meaningless statistic ever. My takeaway is that they don't use Grok since then the figure would be $1.7T.

@chamath @jonathankopnick This is wild—$5B already replaced, and the scale they’re talking about is insane. Truly a glimpse at where engineering is headed.

@chamath @jonathankopnick The biggest opportunities are often hiding in outdated systems 👀

@chamath @jonathankopnick deprecating $5B is the new raising $5B. destroying software is officially a pitch deck slide

@chamath @jonathankopnick this kind of unbundling is exactly what web3 needs to stay relevant. curious which vertical you think gets disrupted first

@chamath @jonathankopnick SaaS is being reborn, not dying. Niche SaaS that serves with insanely great functionality is exploding.

If your SaaS is not a niche SaaS or a platform for empowering niche SaaS, you will get eaten from the bottom.

Momentum will carry you for a little while though.

@Aaleks_crypt @chamath To be clear, each one was mostly one shot not all of them together.

@chamath @jonathankopnick The real play isn't unbundling — it's re-bundling the winners into the next monopoly.
