Google DeepMind and GovTech Singapore are building on-device fraud detection with Gemma

Google DeepMind says it is working with GovTech Singapore on on-device fraud detection using its open model Gemma. It says fine-tuning Gemma on local scam tactics lets it identify threats in real time without compromising personal privacy. The company also claims that more than half of reported crimes in Singapore use sophisticated social engineering.
