@erikbryn I get that statements must be negotiated and so can't be any one signers' fav choice. Even so this sounds to much to me like a call for regulation.
We are already doing a lot of steering of AI and other technologies through myriad public and private decisions. Since there are multiple possible futures, and given the high stakes, I'd like to see us do *much* more to think through the consequences and course-correct as needed. You and your insights have been incredibly helpful for this enterprise, but much more work is needed.
