The talk is scheduled for an Anthropic event in Tokyo.
Positive users eagerly await Jarred Sumner's blog post on rewriting Bun's runtime in Rust with Claude, while negative users express frustration over delays and excessive hype.

This talk is derived from the blog post but more focused on the claude parts than the bun parts
Tokyo this week

@jarredsumner still waiting for the damn blog post btw

@jarredsumner why don't you rewrite rust in bun?

@jarredsumner Now we're getting a TEASER for the blog?
Most hyped blog post of 2026

@jarredsumner Can I join in person?

@jarredsumner are you dropping an NFT or a shitcoin with the post or something?

@joaomendoncaaaa lol never

@jarredsumner more anticipated than gta6 at this point

@jarredsumner Someone should start a Polymarket for when this blog is coming out lol

@jarredsumner will this be available to watch online?

@jarredsumner My intuition is that this change would make compile times a nightmare.
I moved a much smaller project from Rust to Zig because of excessive compile time that was impacting velocity.
But, I suspect this might be a skill issue on my part.

@cnakazawa @jarredsumner I am also kind of wondering this?

@jarredsumner blogpost when ?

@jarredsumner Are you gonna go up there and just say the blog post is almost done? 🤣🤣

@jarredsumner We need the blog post!!!

@jarredsumner rewriting bun in rust is a bold bet. really curious how the compile times end up

@jarredsumner oke but what blogpost?

@jarredsumner @__sosukesuzuki Also if you can share a detailed prompt for this we can also try migrating our code and test the functionality with different languages

@jarredsumner I am hoping that it will be recorded.
