iOS 27 reportedly arrives with Siri AI and new child-safety controls
Ask to Browse requires parental approval for new Safari sites, one user says, alongside age-based daily budgets for Social, Games and Entertainment. The user says every Family Sharing device needs the 27 updates.
TLDR
A September 15, 2026 post says Apple released iOS 27 with Siri AI and new child-safety features, alongside macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27 and tvOS 27.
A separate user describes parental controls across iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27: Ask to Browse requires approval before children open a new Safari site, while Time Allowances sets age-based daily budgets for Social, Games and Entertainment. The same account says Communication Safety now blocks gore and violent content as well as nudity, including during live FaceTime, and describes faster child-account setup with recommended starter apps. Its caveat: every device in Family Sharing must be on the 27 updates.
