@bscholl The Moon is moving away from Earth at around 1.5 inches/year. Harvest enough energy to keep it stationary.
Alternatively: harvest enough to return it to where it was say 100 million years ago. Get a dinosaurs eye view of it.

@bscholl This is nonsense, since tidal friction causes the moon to move outward at a rate of 5 centimeters per year. If you only take out that much, it neutralizes the orbit; if less, it only slows the outward motion down.

@bscholl The SpaceX lore is skipping that for decades, zero point energy has been used in secret programs. That's nearly unlimited energy from the quantum vacuum. What do we see about many so-called "conspiracy theories" as time goes by ? They are officially recognised as true one by one.

@bscholl The Moon orbit moves further and further away from Earth every year. In a few million years we won't have total eclipses anymore. Do the math right and you could balance that out.

@bscholl Grok seems to think that the capturable power at the moon’s precession rate, is only ~120GW, and the coil (probably superconducting) needed would be over 10 million kilometers in diameter… seems both infeasible and not worth the trouble. You’ll need a more diabolical plan. 🤓
