I believe he is a great physicist, probably even knows how the current AI technology could help physics better than anyone. But that does not make him an expert about the current AI technology, claiming its limit or the lack thereof.

@YiMaTweets Although i would argue if you are not actively training models at frontier labs, you are not that well informed about the limitations either. So at least he knows more about it than a lot of ai researchers outside of ant/oai/gdm

@YiMaTweets If openai decides to hire him, the only reason is because they believe he can help the company. What makes you think you know whom to hire better than OpenAI itself.

@Amir_Arsalan_ @dinq_me Not really. Every big theory starts out looking 'imaginary' before it's proven. Einsteins relativity was just math on paper for years until experiments confirmed it. Quantum mechanics sounded crazy at first too. String theory is just in that same early phase.
