AI agents are powerful, but they don’t remember your preferences.

So you end up repeating instructions- How you structure projects. Your brand guidelines.

You can now teach Replit Agent your conventions with Custom Instructions and Skills.

It'll take them into account for every project automatically.

LIVE TOMORROW: Supercharge Replit Agent w/ Skills + Custom Instructions! ⚡

Tomorrow on the Friday Showcase, we're going deep on two features that just dropped this week for personalizing your agent:

→ Workspace Skills, with @ayeshabose_ from Replit's product team. Teach Agent your conventions, workflows, and gotchas once, then share that skill across your whole team. We'll build one live.

→ Custom Instructions. Set rules that auto-inject into every Agent session, so your standards travel with you on every project.

→ Builder Spotlight: Burhon Nassir (@theartofbace), cofounder of Silk. Last time on the show, Silk had just launched. Now they're at $10K MRR! We're catching up on how they got there.

→ Plus This Week in Replit and live Q&A throughout.

@Replit É incrível como vocês não terem ensinado o agente de vocês a não deletar o design system do cliente Replit, principalmente se isso não foi solicitado e aprovado

@Replit The quiet win here isn't the agent remembering. It's me not re-explaining my whole setup every night at 11pm. Write the conventions once, stop re-deciding them tired.

@Replit The repeating instructions problem is real. I built Mnemosyne as a persistent memory layer for Hermes Agent so it keeps context across sessions without manual re-explaining. Custom Instructions is a good UX fix for the same gap.

@Replit the "repeating instructions" thing got me good. claude kept reformatting my project structure every session until i stuck conventions in a skill file. one less paragraph i paste every morning

@Replit That is the right failure mode to target: most agent frustration is context drift, not intelligence. Turning conventions into reusable skills is closer to memory than prompting.

@Replit repeating instructions is a symptom of something deeper: how we design systems that forget context. custom instructions and skills are a good start, but what if ai agents could learn to recall last time?

@Replit Wow.. it would be awesome to share your own built skills across your ptojevts.. right now i am making them, downloading md file and adding to next project manually 🚀🚀🚀 gamechanged Kudos @Replit team to always think about builders🙏🤩🤩

@Replit Teaching the agent your conventions once and having it apply them automatically across every project is how these tools should have worked from the start.
