Bose announces it is acquiring Skullcandy, plans to keep brand separate

Bose announced it is acquiring Skullcandy on Oct. 21, 2026. According to the Bose release cited by The Verge, the company plans to keep Skullcandy a separate brand within its premium consumer audio business, still based in Park City, Utah. The Verge said specific details of the deal weren’t shared.

WIRED reports the companies had already worked together through Bose’s Sound by Bose licensing program. That collaboration began with Skullcandy’s Method 360 ANC earbuds in 2025 and continued with the Crusher 1080 ANC headphones in July.
