This seems to be the most coherent argument against pangram, the possibility of "false accusations" when the error rate compounds across a given class of documents.

But I think this is a social problem to solve? They get as many nines as they can but we have to do the rest

everybody thinks that a 1 in 10,000 false positive rate is really good but actually over the course of 1000 trials thats nearly a 10% chance. and thats how you get false accusations at scale

like what is the point of having a document classifier that can pretty reliably tell if something is slop? How do we use that in work and college and blogging and whatnot? This seems about as big of a problem as how do we integrate the infinite slop generator itself

@deepfates i think eventually “was it written by AI?” wont even be something anyone even cares about (i already dont), the real question ppl care about is “is it any good” and unfortunately pangram doesnt actually answer that particular question at all
