HP OmniBook 5 starts at $700 with 8GB of RAM
Gizmodo says every configuration includes an OLED screen, but its reviewer argues 8GB isn't enough for Windows 11.
TLDR
Gizmodo reports that HP's OmniBook 5 matches the MacBook Neo's $700 starting price. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage; Gizmodo's reviewer argues that 8GB isn't enough for a clean Windows 11 experience. HP has a 16GB configuration and says a 12GB version is planned for November 2026. Gizmodo was still seeking prices and availability for the higher-RAM models.
