@Turn_TroutFalse 1. I literally quit my Google DeepMind job & lost >>$300k to call out harms regarding autonomous weapons... and extinction risk is still more important, which is why I'm speaking out + working to solve it 2. GDM does NOT want to stoke fears about extinction risks lol
@KelseyTuocWe've gone from "fears of extinction from RSI distract us from real problems like algorithmic bias" to "fears of extinction from RSI distract us from real problems like agent swarms and autonomous killer robots". But actually, RSI will make those problems into bigger problems.

@timnitGebruI literally just told my teammate that I KNEW how this wording was playing into the apocalyptic AGI crowd, but I realized it too late. The legal definition of autonomous weapons isn't the "killer robots" 🙄 but since they co opt all terms, gotta be careful which words you use
