Tesla and Rivian beat third-quarter delivery expectations

Axios reports Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter, above analysts’ average expectation of about 462,000. Rivian delivered 19,248, above the average FactSet expectation of 18,000. Tesla’s deliveries rose 1.3% from the previous quarter but fell 2.1% from a year earlier. Axios says elevated gas prices may be lifting EV demand, though third-quarter U.S. EV market-share figures were not yet available.
