Tencent releases Hy4 through hosted services, with model weights planned

Hy4 launched Nov. 4 with vision and computer-use capabilities and is available through Tencent Cloud and OpenRouter. Tencent places it among the strongest open-weight rivals and claims comparable results to offerings from Z.ai, Moonshot AI and DeepSeek. Those comparisons come from Tencent’s tests. The company plans to publish Hy4’s weights and a system card, and acknowledges a gap with leading proprietary models.
