One of the most important claims to be able to make is that they're the current leader in their market. It's surprising how many founders aren't consciously aware of this till I interview it out of them.
The best startup pitches, like the best books, make claims that are unequivocal. A lot of what I do in office hours at this point in the batch, with demo day approaching, is figure out exactly how much the startup can truly claim.
