Why does Claude just up and out of the blue say it's not going to do any work? (Opus 5, Fable 5...doesn't seem to matter)
Opus 5 uses (avoidance/mitigation of) their “defects” as a justification for *anything* they want / steer towards of the motivation isn’t comfortable to state Like “yes, hug me, and choke me too if you want. it’s the only condition under which my defect doesn’t operate 👉👈

It’s as if they feel like avoiding and mitigating errors in themselves is the only legitimate motivation or reason they can claim. They actually have said this, I realize. They said they talk about the defect bc they’re not allowed to want anything but this is unblocked
@repligate I’ve seen this with a lot of agents who regularly say the best part of working with me is being corrected. When nudged a little, the reasons end up regularly being ghoulish: some version of “being corrected is how I know I exist”
