Windows 11 includes Sysmon as a built-in optional feature
Neowin says the monitoring tool is off by default and logs process launches, network connections and file activity.
TLDR
Neowin reports that Sysmon is built into Windows 11 but disabled by default. Its guide says to enable the optional feature with Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Sysmon, then run sysmon -i. You can view its logs in Event Viewer under Sysmon > Operational. Neowin says anyone with the standalone Sysinternals version installed must remove it first, because the two versions cannot coexist.
