256GB SSD or 1TB hard drive? Engadget says it depends on how you use it
Engadget describes the main trade-off as speed versus storage space: a smaller SSD for performance or a larger hard drive for capacity.
TLDR
Engadget says solid-state drives (SSDs) are much faster than hard disk drives (HDDs), but that doesn't make spinning hard drives obsolete. Comparing a 256GB SSD with a 1TB hard drive, it says the choice comes down to whether you prioritize performance or storage space.
