Cyan Banister, an angel investor and General Partner at Long Journey Ventures with early investments in Uber, SpaceX, and DeepMind, posted about second and third order impacts of Tesla's FSD. She said reduced driver stress will increase overall quality of life substantially, likening it to relief from a toothache that goes unnoticed until gone. Bayeslord, a co-founder of the effective accelerationism movement, replied that Elon should license FSD to other companies. He argued legacy automakers will take far longer to reach scale and that licensing would save lives since many people will keep driving non-Tesla cars for years.
