Researchers Introduce Variational Learning for Insertion-Based Generative Models

Our method is built on a key insight: a bijection between permutations and insertion trajectories. This change of variables converts marginalization over trajectory-dependent insertion actions into an exact sum over permutation, allowing further variance reduction of the ELBO.
