HP’s $700 OmniBook 5 pairs an OLED screen with 8GB of RAM
Gizmodo says it matches the MacBook Neo’s starting price but warns that 8GB may not be enough for a clean Windows 11 experience.
TLDR
Gizmodo reports that HP’s OmniBook 5 starts at $700 with an OLED screen, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its reviewer argues that 8GB is insufficient for a clean Windows 11 experience. HP also has a 16GB configuration and says a 12GB version will launch in November 2026; Gizmodo was awaiting pricing and availability details for the higher-RAM models.
