White House IP addresses turn up in public proxy services

From October 5 to November 3, Layer3 recorded 236 proxy exits through six IP addresses assigned to the White House network. Customers could pay public residential proxy services to route traffic through those addresses. Synthient says it has high confidence that Rave, a shared streaming app with proxy software, is behind the activity, though the device and person remain unidentified.
