@MartinGTobias Your observations are always succinct and insightful... and mostly spot on with similar ones Ive accumulated over many years of navigating the thrilling realm of pre-seed investing. Thanks for unwittingly helping me maintain my sanity and please continue sharing them. Cheers
@MartinGTobias Sometimes it isn’t the case investors are on your side. At all. They likely were initially but conflicts of interest over time are not uncommon. People shouldn’t be naive.
@MartinGTobias Couldn’t agree more. Loyalty means giving the people who backed you the truth they need to help, not the version that feels easier to deliver.
@MartinGTobias When I shared obstacles/bad news with my investors they were able to support. All good now (till next time). We're in this together
@MartinGTobias i'm prepping to send my first monthly update to my captable & your advice landed perfectly for me 🙏🏻

@MartinGTobias lol. I laugh at you. Funding morons.
the time to share BAD news with your investors is 6-12 months BEFORE the bad news turns into REALLY BAD news. and the time to build trust with your investors is 6-12 months BEFORE your “ok-but-not-great” news turns into bad news. every time you communicate with investors in NON-crisis scenarios is like making a deposit in the bank — and every time there’s a CRISIS, it’s like making a withdrawal — make sure you build up those deposits before you make a big withdrawal.
