Uber invests another $10 million in Carrum Mobility, Inc42 reports

Inc42 says the fleet management startup manages 5,000-plus vehicles across six cities, with a Chennai launch planned for September 2026.

Inc42 reports that Carrum Mobility raised $10 million from Uber as part of its Series B round, following Uber’s $7 million investment in January 2026. According to the outlet, Carrum focuses on compressed natural gas and electric vehicles and has onboarded 18,000-plus driver partners. Inc42 says the funding is intended to expand Carrum’s fleet, technology and operations while supporting Uber Black’s expansion across India.
