I didn't foresee it - but it was foreseeable - that the 'tech bros inventing LLMs' narrative would A) Start a conversation about whether humans are special B) Make liberals more fond of people who believe in the existence of souls.

@GaryMarcus @Pontifex Specifically that the Pope is a powerful, influential individual serving as head of one of humanity's most enduring institutions who is asserting clearly & unequivocally the primacy of the human person over economic interests & the interests of the most powerful. A rarity today.
