GTCR and Elliott agree to acquire CCC for about $4.6 billion

Bloomberg reports GTCR and Elliott Investment Management are acquiring car-insurance software provider CCC Intelligent Solutions for about $4.6 billion. The agreement calls for shareholders to receive $7.75 in cash per share, approximately 44% above CCC’s July 9 closing price, when reports of a possible deal surfaced. CCC says the all-cash transaction has an enterprise value of approximately $6.1 billion.
