how fucking braindead do these people have to be to believe that any single installation of anything can raise an entire state's temperature by 28 degrees? A giant multi-mile wide continuously active wildfire can't even increase a state's temperature by that much. Lmao. Nvidia blackwells max out at like 200 degrees F and wildfires go to 2200 degrees F and they think datacenters are going to increase temperature 10x the amount of giant uncontrolled wildfires?

you have no idea how anything works, do you? every word you type into this website is transmitted to and stored on a database in a DATACENTER, in that datacenter it is also run through the LLM inference powered algorithm that decides what you and others see on your FYP, it's also analyzed by LLM inference agents that categorize you for advertising data which is shared with other companies and stored and analyzed more on MORE DATACENTERS, it's also used in LLM TRAINING RUNS that YOU AGREED TO by signing ToS to train both Grok and now Claude thanks to the Anthropic+X partnership, not to mention that it's run through LLM inference by groups like palantir and sold to the government to analyze for terrorism and crime risk

@dharh @Austen It’s a 40k acre property. The buildings are using a fraction of the land. They bought that much land from the owner due to water to land ratios. Almost all of the land will be maintained as open space.

i'm not your guy and this is a datacenter in an uninhabited valley won't have any residents anywhere near it for 10s of miles, the only people who live there have been bought out for it, there's no sound or pollution affecting anyone from this, it's all made up nonsense, also yes, datacenters have been the source of scientific progress since the dawn of the computing era, tf do you think the "cloud" that scientists analyze data on is?
