Gizmodo reports that Ray-Ban Meta Audio drops the camera while retaining Meta AI voice features. Meta lists two prescription-compatible styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, and promises up to 48 additional hours from the charging case. Business Insider reports that Meta also plans to bring Muse, its AI agent for tasks such as shopping and making calls, to its glasses.
Mashable reports that Meta is developing private processing for certain glasses AI features, starting with translations, which the company says would shield that data even from Meta. Separately, Engadget reports that Meta will let users opt out of AI training and product-improvement review of visual data from camera-based AI interactions. That opt-out does not cover audio interactions.
