Trump Shares AI-Generated Video of Kharg Island Attack

US President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social showing an attack on Iran’s Kharg Island. The footage carried the message “Kharg Island being blown to smithereens!!!” The Defense Post reported the post and noted that the video depicts an assault on the oil hub. The account added that no evidence shows the facility was targeted by US forces. The video was shared as original content from the president’s account rather than from any verified military source. Observers on the platform saw the clip alongside the president’s accompanying text but received no additional confirmation of real-world strikes from the post itself.
