Netflix’s $500 million Xbox adaptation offer reportedly fell apart after Microsoft sought $800 million

The Verge, citing Puck, reports Netflix offered $500 million for Xbox adaptation rights, but Xbox CEO Asha Sharma and her team sought $800 million and Netflix pulled the offer. Neowin says the proposal covered seven years of exclusivity and that reports suggest Xbox is looking for smaller deals with more partners. An Xbox spokesperson called Netflix a valued partner and pointed to forthcoming Minecraft and Diablo animated series together.
