Why doesn’t Europe just go all in on fusion, or something else in the “lots of energy in a small amount of land” vicinity? Or robotics?
Both seem more realistic than competing directly in large model training/inference but are complementary + benefit from its STEM strengths

Side benefit, besides avoiding the permanent under-continent: plenty of energy for air conditioning

@sean_from_earth Yeah I like ITER though do not have a good sense of how seriously countries are trying to support it - my prior based on AI stuff is “not much”
