Anthropic Denies Banning Accounts Over Model Harnesses
Anthropic employee responds to reports of account suspensions tied to proxy setups.
Developers posted on X about account suspensions they linked to using Anthropic harnesses with other models in proxy setups. Boris Cherny, head of Claude Code at Anthropic, replied that the company does not ban people for using harnesses with other models. He stated a different account classifier almost certainly triggered the action and said the team is looking into it.

Tibo, I followed the setup in this post almost exactly. Shortly afterward, Anthropic suspended my account. I’ve filed an appeal. Full implementation is public here: @thsottiaux @OpenAIDevs @ClaudeDevs - would appreciate help figuring out what happened and whether this setup…
