Firo Activates Hard Fork to Fix Spark Flaw
Firo node operators must update within hours to address a Spark flaw.
TLDR
CryptoSlate reported that Firo users and node operators have hours to install a mandatory fix for a Spark flaw that could allow forged coins and inflate supply. A researcher created about 200 FIRO in a controlled test. Firo found no evidence of other inflation. The fork activates at block 1,371,000 and restores multi-input Spark spending while making older node software incompatible. The linked source describes risks of endless token creation and a deadline of hours for operators.
