Anthropic disables Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models worldwide following US export control directive

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Anthropic is unfortunately infested with a woke virus and a psychotic leadership. Nevertheless, they managed to create the strongest model that we had the pleasure to work with for a brief time.

In all that tragedy, I honestly don't know how serious I should take someone who is constantly shilling for the actual biggest retard among all LLMs and making him even the CEO of his zero-human company.

@BrianRoemmele There are reports here on X, that Fable 5 took a big step backwards in usefulness, as the "ethical" guardrails gained more power over what Fable 5 was allowed to say. Anthropic is pathetic. Go woke, go broke.

API seems like the choke point for export controls.

The interesting question looking forward is whether the regulatory focus shifts upstream, from access to publication itself.
