Claims opened Sept. 21 in Apple’s $250 million Siri AI settlement, giving eligible iPhone buyers until Dec. 21 to seek a payment. The class-action lawsuit alleged that purchasers expected certain Siri features when they bought their phones and did not receive them. Apple denies the allegations, and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing.

The dispute dates to Apple’s June 2024 introduction of Apple Intelligence, which described a more context-aware Siri capable of understanding on-screen information and taking actions across apps. Apple said on Sept. 14, 2026 that a new Siri AI had begun rolling out in English as a beta. The settlement concerns what buyers expected and received during an earlier purchase window, not whether a Siri upgrade exists today.

Who can submit a claim

The settlement administrator says eligible class members must live in the United States and have been the original purchasers of an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model, including the 16e. The device must have been bought in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, for personal or business use rather than resale.

The proposed settlement notice says claimants must confirm that, at purchase, they expected certain Siri Apple Intelligence features they did not receive. They must also provide information sufficient to verify the qualifying purchase or ownership. Buying one of the listed phones alone does not guarantee a valid claim.

The payment depends on the number of claims

The allocation starts at $25 per eligible device for a valid claim. The administrator says it could increase to a maximum of $95 per device, or fall below $25, depending on the number of accepted claims and costs deducted from the fund. The $95 figure in headlines is a ceiling, not a promised check.

Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by Dec. 21, 2026. The court granted preliminary approval in July, but it has not given final approval. Payments therefore are not immediate, and the administrator’s site is the current place to check the claim form and case schedule.
