@KunleKruise I think it will. Reading binary certainly did. Reading assembler mostly did. I expect that we will eventually not worry about code at all. For the time being I still worry about code, but I don't read it much. I manage it with tests, metrics, and spot checks.

yes, but also, can you build it properly? Is it secure? Will it scale? Anyone can have AI build something, it takes someone that knows how to do the above 3 to prompt the AI to not do stupid things and create a mess of spaghetti code.

I don't understand the negativity toward AI coding. Used properly, it's extremely useful. We've spent decades trying to write better code faster, and this is the single biggest improvement I've seen in my lifetime.
