Bavuma backs Nortje’s Test return ahead of Australia series

The ICC reports that South Africa captain Temba Bavuma backed Anrich Nortje’s return to the Test XI against Australia, saying the fast bowler’s pace was hard to overlook and that he had impressed in the nets. Nortje last played a Test in February 2023. The first match of the three-Test series was scheduled to begin October 9 in Durban.
