Milwaukee Brewers championship parade scheduled for Friday, with extra buses planned

The Milwaukee Brewers’ World Series victory parade is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30, with a 10 a.m. start at W. Wisconsin and N. Vel R. Phillips avenues, Graham Kilmer reports for Urban Milwaukee. The planned route passes the Bob Uecker mural via N. Jefferson, E. Mason and N. Jackson streets, then continues along E. Chicago Street into Henry Maier Festival Park.

The Milwaukee County Transit System plans extra buses on five routes that drop riders within blocks of the parade: Connect 1, GreenLine, Route 12, Route 18 and Route 57. In a statement quoted by Kilmer, MCTS warned of limited downtown parking and road closures along the route. It anticipated hundreds of thousands of fans, an expectation rather than a crowd count.

Kilmer lists bus fare at $2.75. He also reports that Brewers shuttles from American Family Field will cost $5 per rider and require pre-purchased timed tickets. Bus riders can check MCTS route detours before heading downtown.
