Correction: Bill Belichick did not sign UNC’s early-termination release

Daniel Libit corrected his earlier account on October 5: Bill Belichick did not sign the early-termination release in his UNC employment agreement, though most of his assistants did, he said. Libit said UNC posted two identical signature pages with Belichick’s contract online, and Belichick’s agent, Neil Cornrich, flagged the issue to Sportico. Libit’s October 2 post had said Belichick appeared to be among coaches who signed the release when they signed their contracts.
