Jim Nantz says he initially regretted his ‘trio in Rio’ call

Awful Announcing reports that Nantz exclaimed “A trio in Rio!” as Tyler Loop’s 56-yard field goal gave the Ravens a 34-31 win over the Cowboys in Brazil. Nantz told Jimmy Traina he initially regretted the off-the-cuff call because he thought viewers might not understand it. He later learned from colleagues that it had been well received.
