Sportsnet, citing @FriedgeHNIC, reports that the Red Wings and Alex DeBrincat are closing in on a seven-year extension with an expected average annual value of around $13 million. @FriedgeHNIC noted the talks after Detroit’s 5-4 overtime loss to New Jersey.
