Judge reportedly bars penalties if LSU adds RJ Luis Jr. to basketball roster

USA TODAY reports that multiple outlets described an Oct. 28 injunction protecting LSU’s basketball program from SEC or LSU penalties if it adds RJ Luis Jr. The Associated Press reported that Luis’ lawyers sought protection after an earlier, separate injunction against the NCAA. AP reports that the SEC bars teams from adding players with major professional experience. Luis’ petition said LSU had not rostered him when it was filed.
