Manchester United reportedly made preliminary enquiries about Fermín López and Pablo Barrios

Manchester United have made preliminary enquiries about Barcelona midfielder Fermín López and Atlético Madrid's Pablo Barrios, Barca Universal reports, citing journalist Matteo Moretto on Radio MARCA. According to the outlet, neither enquiry has reached formal negotiations, and United's checks remain exploratory rather than an active transfer pursuit.

A ManagingBarca post also credits Moretto with reporting that United contacted Barcelona and requested information about López. Barca Universal reports that United are looking for a midfielder with qualities similar to those of López and Barrios.

Barca Universal says Barcelona renewed López's contract through 2031 and suggests the club would be reluctant to let him leave. The outlet expects Barcelona to keep him.
