Javonte Williams put Dallas on the board first Thursday night, scoring the game's opening touchdown. Tampa Bay then answered on its opening possession to make it 7-7, Yahoo Sports reported. Those two drives carried the game into the second quarter.
The Buccaneers' response was an extended one: 15 plays, 73 yards and 10:58 of possession, according to The Sporting News. That left both teams with only one possession apiece through the opening quarter.
The matchup at AT&T Stadium opened Week 5. The Athletic said Dallas entered looking for its third win, while Tampa Bay was seeking its first and starting an undrafted rookie quarterback. The 7-7 score is an early-game snapshot, not a final result.
