Brewers set postseason merchandise records as Game 4 resale asks climb

Brewers fans have set several merchandise sales records during the team’s first World Series since 1982, according to Eric Fisher of Front Office Sports. By Oct. 27, Milwaukee had beaten the Tampa Bay Rays 10–1 in Game 3 and held a 3–0 series lead, Fisher reported.

The records reported by Front Office Sports include the highest total postseason merchandise sales, the most sales in the 48 hours after a pennant clincher and the most league champion locker room T-shirts sold. The Brewers also set a franchise record for merchandise sold at their ballpark in a single day during Game 1.

Sports Business Journal, citing Ricardo Torres of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, said overall Brewers merchandise sales exceeded the previous benchmark set by the 2022 Phillies by about 5%. It said the dollar value behind that comparison was unclear. Brewers president Rick Schlesinger, quoted by the Journal Sentinel and relayed by Sports Business Journal, said sales after the pennant win exceeded even the club’s most aggressive projections.
