Noah Okafor scores after 97 seconds off the bench as Leeds beat Tottenham 1-0

Noah Okafor needed just 97 seconds off the bench to score the winner as Leeds United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Elland Road. The victory ended Leeds’ five-game Premier League winless run, Press Association reported in The42’s match report.

The Premier League recorded Okafor’s introduction in the 77th minute and his goal in the 79th. Its earlier post gave the precise interval between his arrival and the goal: 97 seconds.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke made a double substitution, sending on Harry Wilson and Okafor for Ao Tanaka and Lukas Nmecha with 13 minutes remaining. Both new arrivals were involved in breaking the deadlock.

According to the Press Association account, Wilson used his first touch to play in Okafor following a long throw into the box. Okafor also scored with his first touch, finishing beyond Antonin Kinsky for his second league goal of the season.

The result gave Leeds their third league victory of the season. Tottenham had been chasing a fourth consecutive win; instead, they left Elland Road with their first defeat in five matches.
