Jaden McDaniels agrees to one-year, $40 million extension with Timberwolves

ESPN's Shams Charania reported McDaniels' one-year, $40 million agreement with Minnesota, citing his agents; Sarah Todd of The Minnesota Star Tribune separately confirmed it with team sources. ESPN puts the Timberwolves' commitment to McDaniels at $124 million over four years, distinct from the $40 million added year. He could negotiate another extension as early as 2028 or enter free agency in 2030.
